If you don't want to use a picture frame, how about an old soda crate; wooden file box or shoe box? We love the idea of filling up a shadowbox with shells too. Seriously, the ways to display sea shells are endless, aren't they? As you know, I have a ton of shells but no display boxes -- maybe there is another project in my future...
