Many years ago I met a wonderful friend on Twitter and over
this time we have stayed in touch through good times and bad. I felt the urge to visit her last October and
we instantly clicked – like long lost soul sisters. Don’t get me wrong, you know I LOVE the beach
however the wet winters along the Pacific Northwest coast have really been
taking a toll on my middle-age body.
The
sunshine and high altitude of Colorado made me feel more alive than I had in a
very long time. My friend just happens to be a life coach too soooooo…..I moved
to study with her and live in the sunshine (my husband will be following along
shortly). I know, you probably think
I’m nuts but I've always been a person to follow my heart and this is where I’m
supposed to be right now. Denver
International Airport is also a great central spot to fly out of. Denver to Florida! Denver to Maine! Denver to
Oregon! Who knows where I’ll visit next.
You may be wondering about our beach cottage. Our beach cottage is alive and well and will
be taken care of by my brother. Since he is an avid photographer, hopefully we can get him to send us
some Washington Coast photos on a regular basis. My husband and I will be visiting our
cottage during the summers when the climate is a bit better on the aches and
pains.
So, this beach girl is living in the desert for now. It’s been fun and challenging decorating my
little apartment (850 sq. ft.) and I still have the
beach with me…if nothing else in my heart.
I hope you follow your heart in 2013 and make it a wondrous
year!
Until tomorrow,
Marie
